Here is club newsletter No.2, thank you for the positive feedback we received about the first issue.

SML

Following our recent success in the SML Knockout Competition, we are currently second in the league with one game to play (away to Letchworth GC on 22nd September). However our closest competitors do have games in hand.

BONUS BALL

We have had several lucky winners recently. Everyone has now paid their stakes up to 15th September, and some have paid in advance for the next 10 week cycle. The next payments are therefore due 16th September and ten-weekly thereafter. As we are approaching the winter season could you try to remember to send your stakes to Celia (Cheques payable to “St Ippolyts Bowls Club”).

We still have some unused numbers, please talk to Celia if you are interested. It is a good fundraiser and should this year raise approximately £650.

NUMBERS BOARD DRAW

Please help the club by entering the draw, it costs only £1 per number, prizes include £20, bottle of Jack Daniels, tin of biscuits, bottle of wine. The numbers board is in the clubhouse. Draw to take place after Presidents v Captains.

CHRISTMAS HAMPER RAFFLE

Once again Chris Richardson is hoping to do the Christmas hampers. All donations to be left at the clubhouse please (hampers to fill will be available from the AGM onwards) or handed to Chris or Barbara; or they may be handed in at the Presentation Evening.The draw will take place at the Pre Christmas gathering.

Saturday 27th Casino night with fish & chip supper – 6.30pm for 7pm start. Please put your name on the list in the clubhouse if you wish to attend.

Sunday 28th AGM at the clubhouse from 2:30pm

Saturday 10th Presentation dinner at Riverain 7.30pm

December

Sunday 9th Pre Christmas gathering at the clubhouse from 2pm.

Next season we hope to include any social events, photos, an introduction to new members and a buy and sell section.
