THE ST IPPOLYTS BOWLER

Overall we had a good season. In addition to winning the SML Knockout Competition for the second time, our ladies won the North Herts Ladies League with a total of 42 points (Royston were runners up on 41 points). We came third in the SML just two points behind the league winners. We also won 10 out of 19 friendlies.

MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING

The coffee morning raised an impressive £494.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, attended or helped out with this very worthy cause.

CASINO NIGHT

Thanks to Tony & Katherine for running last month's successful Casino night.

The evening, along with bar sales and raffle, raised much needed funds for the club. It is hoped to run another one in April.

PRESENTATION EVENING

Photos from the recent presentation evening at Riverain will appear on the club website (Honours2018).

A big thank you to all concerned in organising the event.

BONUS BALL

The next stakes are due 24th November, 2nd February & 13th April.

Please forward your cheque to Celia, or bring your payment(s) to the pre-Christmas gathering.

MATCHDAY RAFFLE

Next season raffle tickets will cost £1 per strip.

CHRISTMAS HAMPER RAFFLE

If you have any donations for the hamper would you please drop them off at the clubhouse. The draw will take place at the pre-Christmas gathering.

MEMBERSHIP FEES

Next year annual membership fees increase by £5, making it £60 for Adult membership and £50 for those over 60 years of age, not in full-time employment. Social membership remains £5.

AWAY DAYS NEXT YEAR

Colin Childs has arranged an away day by coach to Sheringham on 25th May. He will need a minimum of 26 names, at £25 per head (includes a meal). If you wish to attend please add your name to the list in clubhouse.

On 11th August we are visiting Swaffham.
