THE ST IPPOLYTS BOWLER

On a fine and sunny July afternoon the ladies beat the men in the annual

Ladies v Gents match and it was followed by a barbecue which was enjoyed by all – thanks Tony and Trevor.

L&D v NHWBA

On 30th July we hosted a very wet and windy L&D v North Herts Ladies match. The club catered for over 40 people – well done and thank you to everyone who helped.

JUBILEE TROPHY

We entered two teams, for the first time, in the Jubilee Trophy, which was won by hosts Stevenage Town. All who took part enjoyed the experience and we hope to enter again next year. The format is two teams of four played over five matches. Other participants were Letchworth Con Club, Shephalbury, Three Horseshoes and Willian.

AWAY DAY

Thanks to Muriel for arranging another great day out at Swaffham.

A great day was had by all, despite the sudden downpour which sent players running for cover and an early tea. The game resumed in brilliant sunshine.

TEA/CLEANING ROTAS

Thank you to all those members who took their turn on the rotas.

Unfortunately, it was found necessary to send numerous e-mails requesting cover on the rotas. As a consequence, with much reluctance, we shall be reverting to the previous method whereby names will be allocated to dates on the rotas.
